Ife was an ancient Yoruba city in the Osun state of Nigeria, which flourished between the 11th and 15th centuries. This is a retelling of a creation story from that tradition, mixed with African-American spirituals and neo-pagan imagery. It is written by a Unitarian Universalist educator POC.
