This Sunday we welcome Tom Putnam with his service titled Love Has No End. Many of us are familiar with the letter Paul wrote to the people of Corinth known, in the Christian bible, as “First Corinthians,” which is often recited at weddings and funerals and includes these words: “love is patient, love is kind…”  When listening to it recently, one line I hadn’t noticed before jumped out at me: “love has no end.”  As a precursor to our upcoming celebrations of Mother’s and Father’s Day, I’ll offer some thoughts about “love” including (I hope) some constructive ones for everyone’s consideration about not overusing the term lest it lose its meaning.
