All Rivers Run to the Sea: Gathering of the Waters

On Saturday, September 12th, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., I will be at the church.  On the sidewalk in front of the church, I will have a small table set up with a bowl on it.  I will be standing 15 or so feet away from the table, masked, recording the proceedings and welcoming you as you arrive.

During those two hours, you can drive up to the front of the church.  If nobody else is currently out of their car, you can take your turn bringing your water to the bowl to share in our ritual.  Once everyone has had a chance to do this, I will collect the water and combine the video footage into something I can use for the Zoom service on Sunday morning.

I am suggesting that those whose last names begin with A-M try to come during the first hour, and those whose last names begin with N-Z try to come during the second hour.  However, if that doesn’t work with your schedule, please just come when you can!

I am trusting you to keep this as safe as possible for yourselves, for me, and for the other members of this community.  Masks must be worn at all times.  Only one household may be out of their car at a time.  This is not a social gathering, but rather part of a sacred ritual – an extension of our Gathering of the Waters service.
