In what is for me the highly ironic juxtaposition of the Presidential Inauguration and the Martin Luther King, Jr. National Holiday coming on the same day of January 20, I will speak to that in my sermon this Sunday. Dr. King’s vision of what he called The Beloved Community stands in stark contrast to the various pronouncements Donald Trump offered as he gained a second presidential term. What does it mean to keep Dr. King’s Beloved Community alive in the months and years ahead?
