Soft, clear notes resonated throughout the sanctuary full of hushed attendees at Judy Saiki’s “Welcome Christmas” Celtic Harp concert at the Sanford Unitarian Universalist Church on Sunday, December 3rd.   Ms. Saiki of the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops has entertained internationally for years. In Sanford, the audience gave rapt attention and heartfelt praise for her performance of traditional seasonal Irish, Welsh, Scottish, French, German, English, and American tunes.

Two of Ms. Saiki’s students, Melody Wood and Jan Sacco, will share in a Harp duet at SUUC’s Christmas Eve service at 6:00pm on Sunday, December 24th, at the Sanford UU Church, 5 Lebanon Street in Sanford.

Carols, the Choir, and Bell Choir will also be featured at the service.  Both choirs are under the direction of Rev. Charles Grindle.  In addition, Rev. Grindle and SUUC’s esteemed pianist Ruth Leipold will offer a piano duet.
