Karen Nelson will be delivering her service entitled Foraging, Farming, and Faith. In “Foraging, Farming, and Faith,” Karen uses three recently published books to contrast the world of foragers with that of farmers. The world of the foragers is much more like that of indigenous people while the world of farmers is much more enmeshed with the history of religion and patriarchy. She tries to illustrate the ways in which she is drawn to each tradition and sees both as influencing both her life and her faith.
