This Sunday we welcome Tom Putnam to the pulpit with his service titled May You Be Happy. This service, my last for this church year, comes with a wish to all for the coming summer – “may you be happy.”  It also anticipates Father’s Day with a few reflections on my dad whose happiness was preternatural.  What role can or should happiness play in our spiritual lives and how might we best seek it?
