On this Sunday before Martin Luther King Day, join us as we welcome Rev. Steve Edington as he shares some of his thoughts on the continuing legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and how that legacy continues to shape our thinking on racial matters today. Rev. Steve writes: What I’ll primarily focus on is the way in which Rev. King demonstrated the positive role persons of faith can play in matters of social justice. With the ways we are currently seeing the perversion of the Christian faith in our country’s political landscape, I look to Dr. King and his followers as an example of how religion can be a force for liberation and affirmation, rather than a servant of bigotry and hatred. See you on the 14th.
