Lincoln famously said in part, “You can fool some of the people all the time.” In view of the constant flood of misstatement, spin and outright lies that characterize the political party now in power, how can we cope? We will share the inspiring story of UU courage during the Pentagon Papers scandal.
UUism is now highly diverse, yet we began as a liberal interpretation of the Bible, the Christian tradition and the place of Jesus in our theology. For many of us, he is still important, but in what ways?
People often ask what holds our highly diverse, UU movement together. One important answer is our hymnal, Singing the Living Tradition, a repository not only of our songs but of our common hopes, yearnings and inspirations.

At this turning time of year, many of us make resolutions – losing weight is a popular favorite – or in some way to make the oncoming year better for us and more purposeful. Letting go of mistakes we might have made is important in that, and sometimes hard for us to do.
